Elvis Presley: ‘Christmas with Elvis and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra’

In celebration of the upcoming festive season, RCA Records and Legacy Recordings are set to release ‘Christmas with Elvis and The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra’.

The album brings together Elvis’ best-loved yuletide performances from ‘Elvis’ Christmas Album’ (1957) and ‘Elvis Sings the Wonderful World of Christmas’ (1971), re-imagined with new arrangements performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

Recorded at Abbey Road Studios, ‘Christmas with Elvis and The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra’ follows the No.1 albums ‘If I Can Dream: Elvis Presley with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra’ and ‘The Wonder Of You: Elvis Presley with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra’.

Speaking about the new record, executive producer Priscilla Presley commented, “It seemed quite fitting to have the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra once again accompanying him at this very special time of year. I’m positive he would be smiling if this opportunity came up in his lifetime and that this album would definitely be in the making.”

The standard thirteen track album will be released on CD, LP and digital formats on October 6th.  The deluxe version, with four bonus tracks from Elvis’ 1957 ‘Peace in the Valley’ gospel EP, will be released on November 24th.

Music from ‘Christmas with Elvis and The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra’ will also be featured in the Elvis in Concert UK tour, which takes place in November. Tickets are available now.
