There’s a reason why Sasha Sloan’s velvety, fluttering vocals sound familiar. The 22-year-old singer/songwriter has lent her vocal chops to dance heavy-hitters like Kygo’s ‘This Town’ and Odesza’s ‘Falls’, co-writing for everyone from Charli XCX (‘Track 10’) to Camila Cabello (‘Never be the Same’).
Now, Sloan is charting her own path as a solo artist with her delicious shrug of a debut EP, the knowingly titled Sad Girl. It’s heavy songwriting as therapy, but filtered through a pop prism.
