Laura Mvula releases new album ‘The Dreaming Room’

Double MOBO award winner Laura Mvula released her second album ‘The Dreaming Room’ today through RCA. This follows her universally adored debut album ‘Sing To The Moon’ which saw her gain nominations for the Mercury Prize, BBC Sound poll, the BRITs Critics' Choice Award and two BRIT Awards.  

The first single to be released from the album was Afro-disco track ‘Overcome’ featuring music legend Nile Rodgers which was received to critical acclaim.

This was followed by the Maya Angelou-inspired track ‘Phenomenal Woman’ which was debuted as Annie Mac’s ‘Hottest Record in the World’ on Radio 1

Laura worked closely with producer and musical director Troy Miller (Amy Winehouse, Mark Ronson) to create ‘The Dreaming Room’ which also sees her collaborate with The London Symphony Orchestra, Wretch 32 and Miles Davis collaborator John Scofield.

Laura will be playing the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury this year on Sunday 26th June.
