Sony Music artists nominated for BRIT Awards 2018

At tonight’s BRIT Awards Nominations Launch show, it was announced that Sony Music UK has achieved a remarkable 20 BRIT Award nominations this year.

Columbia secured a total of nine nominations whilst Black Butter and RCA both have four, Syco Music received two and Ministry of Sound has one.

J Hus (British Breakthrough Act, British Single and Mastercard British Album of the Year) and Rag’n’Bone Man (British Male Solo, British Single and Mastercard British Album of the Year) achieved three nominations each, topping off what has been a phenomenal twelve months for them both.

Little Mix and Calvin Harris received two nominations in the British Single and British Video categories, with Harry Styles and ZAYN also in the running for British Video.

Following the release of her No.1 album The Architect, Paloma Faith has been nominated for British Female Solo Artist. London Grammar, who also achieved a No.1 album last year with Truth is a Beautiful Thing, have been nominated for British Group.

Sony Music also received six nominations in the international categories, with Arcade Fire, Foo Fighters and LCD Soundsystem all shortlisted for International Group. Alicia Keys and P!nk were nominated for International Female Solo artist, and DJ Khaled was nominated for International Male Solo Artist.  

Winners of the British Artist Video and British Breakthrough Act categories will be determined by public vote.
