Tokio Myers wins Breakthrough Artist of the Year Award the Classic BRITs
Tokio Myers triumphed to take home the Breakthrough Artist of the Year Award at the Classic BRITs this evening.
As well as winning the award, Tokio also performed with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall.
After an incredibly successful 2018 so far including a sold-out UK tour and his reworking of ‘Jerusalem’ becoming the official anthem of Commonwealth Games England, Tokio used his platform at the awards to reach out to young people and inspire them to pick up an instrument and explore music they might not normally listen to.
