Pink Floyd Secure Seventh Number One Album
Pink Floyd at Pompeii – MCMLXXII the live album has debuted at the top of the Official Charts Company UK album chart. This is the first Pink Floyd album to hit No.1 in the UK in eleven years and marks their seventh chart-topping album.
The album is seeing chart success around the world, debuting at No.1 in Germany, Italy and Belgium today, and in the Top 20 across the Netherlands, France, Japan, New Zealand and Sweden.
The success of the live album follows the acclaimed cinematic return of Pink Floyd at Pompeii – MCMLXXII, the newly restored version of the groundbreaking 1972 film directed by Adrian Maben and distributed by Sony Music Vision, which broke into the top ten at the global, North American and many more box office charts upon its debut, and top 5 in the UK & Ireland, Italy, The Netherlands and Uruguay.
Out now on Legacy Recordings, the catalogue division of Sony Music, the album is available on CD, Digital Audio, and for the very first time in Dolby Atmos and on vinyl HERE.
