Highly talented singer-songwriter and Ghanaian star Gyakie has risen from a promising voice to a powerful force in African music. The daughter of Highlife legend Nana Acheampong, she inherited a deep musical legacy and began singing at the age of six.
Known as “Songbird,” she is celebrated for her unmistakable vocals, lyrical storytelling, remarkable ability to tell universal stories with depth and grace, and her soulful blend of Afro-R&B, Afrobeats, Highlife, and Alternative influences. The Afro-fusion sensation made her mark with her breakout EP Seed, led by the 2x platinum chart-topping hit “Forever,” later remixed with Omah Lay, followed by her second EP My Diary, which features the gold-certified “Something”. In just a few years, Gyakie has collaborated with Davido, Diplo, Serge Ibaka, Major League DJz, AKA, and many more.
