Adele’s ‘30’ makes record-breaking No.1 debut

Adele has taken the UK albums chart by storm, with 30 making its record-breaking debut at No.1.

The album has scored the biggest first-week chart sales not only of 2021, but of the last four years. It marks the biggest opening week for a female solo album since her last release, 25, in 2015.

Adele has now reached No.1 in the UK with all four of her studio albums – a record for a female act.

30’s lead track ‘Easy On Me’ has also secured the top spot in the UK chart for a sixth consecutive week, making it her longest-running No.1 single.
