Born in Brixton in the early 2000s, Cristale is a skilled rapper, poet and storyteller, with a number of viral freestyles and singles to her name.
She grew up in a Caribbean household in south London, where dancehall artists like Buju Banton and Tony Matterhorn played on repeat on her family stereo. She also loved to listen to grime artists like Chip, Stormzy and Wretch 32, as well as funky house acts like T2 and Sweet Female Attitude.
In 2022 Cristale dropped her debut EP, What It’s Like to Be Young.
