Representing Houston, TX, Reginald Helms Jr. aka reggie, is a standout of the emerging genre-less class of musicians (self-describing his genre as “truth”), and you can hear touches of the artists that have influenced him through the years. His sound is boundless – an alternative gumbo mixed of hip-hop and blues with a touch of gospel for good measure, all directly connected to his childhood consisting of church, watching BET and listening to the music his parents played in the house. reggie made his debut with a single titled, “Southside Fade” in August 2020. He went on to release “I Don’t Wanna Feel No More” later the same year and then his most notable single to date, “AIN’T GON STOP ME”, which was also the song performed in his first COLORS. His visuals are intentional, shot to give the world a real feel for what reggie represents as a native son of the south and all his life experiences faced to date.
