James Arthur secures number 1 single for a second consecutive week

James Arthur has secured a second consecutive week at No1 in the Official Singles Chart with Say You Won’t Let Go.

Following two years away from the spotlight, James has made a triumphant return to the charts and has now sold more than 260,000 copies of the ballad. In doing so, he becomes the first British lead artist to hold the No1 spot for more than one week this year.

Say You Won’t Let Go – released on Syco Music – secured the No1 spot again by fighting off competition from stars including Niall Horan, Lady Gaga and The Weeknd.

The 2012 X Factor champion returns with his second album Back From The Edge on October 28th. Recorded in London and Los Angeles, and co-written with some of the world’s A List songwriters and producers, Back From The Edge encompasses his experiences over the past few years and reflects his true, honest self.
