Jerome Porritt named as Head of A&R at RCA Records UK
Sony Music UK today announces the appointment of Jerome Porritt as Head of A&R at RCA Records UK.
Reporting into co-presidents Glyn Aikins and Stacey Tang, Porritt brings over a decade of experience in A&R, and most recently held the position of Head of A&R at Warner Records and Parlophone UK. Jerome will be responsible for overseeing the signing and creative development of the label’s artists, spearheading RCA’s A&R team who saw chart-topping success in 2025 with the likes of JADE who had the biggest debut album of 2025, Bring Me The Horizon, Cat Burns and Myles Smith, who has achieved 3.2 billion streams.
During his tenure at Warner Records and Parlophone, Jerome was behind a string of platinum-selling hits, including Max Dean’s ‘Can’t Decide’, Disco Lines’ ‘Broke Boys’, and The Blessed Madonna’s ‘Happier’. He also played a pivotal role in the signings of Chase & Status, Luude, Steel Banglez, Sofia & The Antoinettes, and MIST – a testament to his deep cultural insight and proven A&R acumen.
Glyn Aikins, co-president at RCA Records UK, Sony Music UK said: “Jerome is one of the most instinctive and culturally fluent A&R executives of his generation. He combines deep musical taste with a clear strategic mindset and a genuine ability to build trust with artists and creative partners. His track record speaks for itself, but what excites me most is his understanding of where culture is moving next and how RCA can continue to lead from the front. Jerome’s appointment reflects our commitment to evolving our A&R leadership and investing in people who will shape the future of the label.”
On his appointment, Jerome said: “I’ve long been an admirer of the work Stacey and Glyn have been doing at RCA, so to be joining the team at such a pivotal time in the industry is exciting. RCA is a label that is locked and loaded to have even more success in 2026 and beyond. I’m excited to be a part of that.”
