Lil Nas X tops the UK Singles Chart with ‘Old Town Road’
Lil Nas X has shot to No.1 on the UK Singles Chart with ‘Old Town Road’, released via RCA Records UK.
The country-inspired rap track has claimed the top spot following a series of viral challenges on the social media app Tik Tok, plus a remix featuring country icon Billy Ray Cyrus.
Lil Nas X said, “I cannot believe how amazing my song is doing on the UK charts. I’m so thankful to everyone who has got behind ‘Old Town Road’. I’m still blown away by all the support for the track – thank you for listening!”
In the US charts Lil Nas X has made history, occupying space simultaneously on The Billboard Hot 100, Hot Country Songs, and Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs Charts. He is the only artist to accomplish this since Billboard added Hip Hop to their charts.
