Robbie Williams makes UK chart history with new record-breaking Number 1

Robbie Williams has made UK chart history, securing his 16th UK Number 1 album with BRITPOP and officially becoming the artist with the most Number 1 albums in Official Albums Chart history. The release extends a remarkable run that began with his 1997 debut Life Thru A Lens and most recently Better Man in 2025 — now crowned by BRITPOP, his 13th studio album.

Speaking on the milestone, Robbie says: “‘BRITPOP’ is the record I’ve always wanted to make, and seeing it become my 16th Number 1 album means everything to me. Thank you to all the fans who have been with me every step of the way. You’ve made my dreams come true.”

Released last Friday on Columbia Records, BRITPOP has been met with Robbie’s strongest critical response in years. The album features the singles “Rocket”, “Spies”, “Human”, “Pretty Face” and “All My Life”, with collaborations from Chris Martin, Gaz Coombes, Tony Iommi, Jesse & Joy, and Gary Barlow — a line-up that underscores the album’s creative ambition.

This new achievement follows Robbie’s BRITPOP stadium tour, which saw him perform to 1.2 million fans across the UK and Europe last summer. Next month, he’ll return to the stage for a special run of intimate sold‑out shows as part of the Long 90’s Tour, performing Life Thru A Lens and BRITPOP in full.

Adding to the excitement, a feature documentary exploring the creation of the album will be released later this year, directed by Charlie Lightening and produced by Lorton Entertainment.

Congratulations, Robbie — a truly historic moment. Listen to BRITPOP here.
