Since ’93’s Glyn Aikins and Riki Bleau Named Among UK’s Most Influential Black People

We are proud to celebrate Glyn Aikins, co-founder of Since ‘93 and co-president of RCA UK, alongside fellow Since ‘93 co-founder Riki Bleau, for their inclusion in the Powerlist 2026 – the annual ranking of the UK’s 100 most influential Black people.

Published by Powerful Media, the Powerlist recognises exceptional leaders of African, African Caribbean, and African American heritage who are shaping British society across sectors including business, politics, science, and the arts. Now in its 20th year, the list continues to honour those driving change and inspiring future generations.

Glyn and Riki’s recognition reflect their visionary leadership and cultural impact in the music industry. Through Since ’93, they’ve championed groundbreaking artists and helped redefine the sound of British music.

Glyn Aikins, co-founder of Since ‘93 and co-president of RCA UK, said: “I am deeply honoured to be included in this year’s Powerlist of the most influential people of African, Caribbean and African American heritage in Britain. To stand alongside so many extraordinary leaders, innovators and cultural figures is both humbling and inspiring. This recognition is not just about my own journey but also reflects the exceptional work of my colleagues at Sony Music, Since ’93 & RCA, and the incredible artists we are privileged to champion.

“Representation and visibility are vital. I hope this acknowledgement encourages the next generation to pursue their ambitions with confidence, knowing that our stories, voices and culture can shape the future. My sincere thanks to Powerlist for this honour, and congratulations to all those featured.”

Riki Bleau, co-founder of Since ’93, said: “It’s an honour to make the list again, it means alot to be recognised and included alongside incredible trailblazers. The Powerlist is more than a list – it’s a celebration of Black excellence, influence and legacy across industries.”

The pair launched Since ‘93 with breakout acts such as Aitch and Fredo, and its current roster includes Cat Burns, Nectar Woode, Tyla, Tems, and Shallipopi.

Congratulations again to Glyn and Riki.
