Sony Music at the Radio Teen Awards
Sony Music was the most represented music company at this year’s BBC Radio Teen Awards with a total of 7 nominations and the winning act in every music award category – not to mention an outstanding performance from James Arthur.
Olly Murs and superstar DJ Calvin Harris were both nominated in the Best British Solo Artist category but it was Olly who walked away with the award. Newcomers Union J picked up the Best British Breakthrough prize.
However, it was arguably One Direction’s evening. Up against label-mates Little Mix for the Best British Band Award and Olly Murs in the Best British Single category, the biggest band in the world were the winners of both awards.
