Sony Music Talks Inclusion at Inaugural SXSW Event In London

Sony Music UK’s VP of People Experience (PX), Liz Jeffrey, joined a crucial panel at the inaugural SXSW London festival, contributing to a discussion on workplace inclusivity and the challenges faced by women across industries.

Speaking alongside other female leaders from a range of sectors, Liz shared how Sony Music are working to build a more inclusive culture through policies that support working parents, improve access to opportunities, and reflect the diversity of the artists we represent.

“Our workforce should be as rich and diverse as the talent we support,” said Liz. “That’s how we create a stronger, more representative industry.”

On the importance of supportive workplace policies, Liz added: “If we can support people in their moment of need, then in turn what that does for the workforce is it creates a sense of safety, loyalty, and trust.”

The panel highlighted the importance of practical, long-term change, with Liz referencing initiatives such as our award-winning childcare support policy and inclusive recruitment strategies as examples of how we’re putting our values into action.
