BRIT Awards 2016 Nominees Announced

The BRIT Awards 2016 nominees were announced tonight (14th January) with Sony artists gaining ten nominations.

Calvin Harris (Columbia) has been nominated for three awards – Best British Male plus Best British Single and Best British Video for
his hit single with Disciples, ‘How Deep Is Your Love’.

He is joined in the Best British Male category by Mark Ronson (Columbia).  Mark Ronson has also been nominated for Best Producer.

One Direction (Syco) have been nominated for two awards – for Best British Group and Best British Video for their chart-topping single ‘Drag Me Down’.

Little Mix (Syco) have  also been short-listed for two accolades –  for Best British Single and  Best British Video, both for their No1 smash ‘Black Magic’. The group will also perform at the ceremony for the first time.

Olly Murs (Epic) joins them in being short-listed for Best British Single for ‘Up’, his hit with Demi Lovato.

And US star Meghan Trainor (RCA) has also been announced as a nominee in the Best International Female category.

The BRIT Awards will take place at London’s O2 Arena on the 24th February 2016.
