Harry Styles Wins Ivor Novello Award for ‘As It Was’

Harry Styles added another Ivor Novello award to his collection, winning alongside co-writers Kid Harpoon and Tyler Johnson at the 2023 ceremony.

‘As It Was’, the UK’s biggest song of 2022, won in the PRS for Music Most Performed Work category. This follows the Ivor for Harry’s ‘Adore You’ in 2021, winning in the same category.

This latest accolade adds to the phenomenal success of Harry’s House, the OCC’s biggest album of 2022.

The 2023 Ivor Novello Awards took place at London’s Grosvenor House on 18th May and were broadcast live on Amazon Music. First presented in 1956, the Ivor Novello Awards celebrate songwriters and composers. They recognise creative excellence and represent peer recognition with categories judged by acclaimed songwriters and composers from within the UK music creator community.
