Kasabian partner with Amazon Music & Twitch for gaming & concert experience

Kasabian have teamed up with Amazon Music and social video platform Twitch for an online gaming and live concert experience.

Ahead of the release of upcoming album For Crying Out Loud (and Leicester City FC’s Champions League fixture with Atlético Madrid), Leicester City fans Kasabian will take part in an exclusive FIFA 17 online gaming event and Q&A hosted by Amazon Music on April 17th. You can watch the event live on Twitch from 7pm BST.

As an extra-time treat, Kasabian will take to the stage for a special performance at London’s Kentish Town Forum on April 19th. The intimate show will also be streamed live via Twitch, from 9pm BST.

“Seems only right to get stuck in on FIFA ahead of the Leicester game. Hopefully, we can make life imitate art for a win in the Champions League too,” said Serge Pizzorno from Kasabian. “What a way that would be to kick off our run of intimate shows at the Kentish Town Forum. We’re buzzing to play our new tracks live to fans in such a small venue, it’s going to be incredible.”

“It’s no secret Kasabian are as passionate about Leicester City and football as they are about music, so we’re excited to help them fulfill a dream of playing in front of a global audience,” said Steve Boom, VP of Amazon Music. “The band are one of the most thrilling, exciting acts in British music so we’re proud to help bring these global gaming and concert experiences to millions, along with giving Amazon Music Unlimited subscribers access to enjoy tracks from their new album.”

“This event perfectly represents how Twitch has expanded beyond being a destination solely for live streamed video game content into a broader platform for other industries, such as music and sports, to connect with fans,” said Jason Fletcher, Director of Marketing, EMEA at Twitch. “Thanks to Amazon Music, seeing Kasabian face off on FIFA 17 against two Twitch personalities in one explosive gaming, sports, and music show on Twitch is a testament of our community’s power to bring shared interests together.”

For Crying Out Loud is available to pre-order now.
