Sony Music artists nominated for BRIT Awards 2019

The BRIT Awards 2019 with Mastercard nominations were today announced on The BRITs are Coming TV special on ITV.

Sony Music artists have received a total of 16 nominations across nine categories.

George Ezra has been nominated for three – British Male Solo Artist, British Single and Mastercard British Album of the Year, crowning a remarkable 2018 in which his second album, Staying at Tamara’s, was the best-selling artist album of the year and his two singles ‘Shotgun’ and ‘Paradise’ made the Top 10 biggest singles of the year.

Tom Walker has two nominations – British Breakthrough Act and British Single in recognition of his platinum selling single ‘Leave a Light On’. Voting for British Breakthrough Act is now open

After achieving the biggest-selling single of 2018, Calvin Harris and Dua Lipa’s ‘One Kiss’, has received two nominations in the British Single and British Artist Video of the Year categories. 

Little Mix have also been nominated for British Artist Video of the Year for their collaboration with Nicki Minaj, ‘Woman Like Me’, as well as being nominated for British Group for the second time. 

Craig David has received a nomination for British Male Solo Artist – his fifth time in this category, while Sigala and Paloma Faith’s collaboration on ‘Lullaby’ is also up for British Single.

Clara Amfo made the announcements on the one-hour show, which included stunning performances from George Ezra, Little Mix and Not3s.

Winners of the British Artist Video will be determined by public vote which will open on Monday 4th February 2019 and close on Friday 15th February 2019.

The BRIT Awards 2019 with Mastercard takes place on Wednesday 20th February at The O2 Arena, London. The show will be broadcast on 20th February on ITV and YouTube for those watching outside of the UK.
