Olly Murs’ ’24 HRS’ debuts at number 1 in the UK album charts

Olly Murs has scored a number 1 album with his incredible release 24 HRS. This marks his fourth successive number 1 album since launching into the spotlight on The X Factor in 2009.

2016 has been an incredible year for Olly, topping the Airplay charts earlier this summer with the classic You Don’t Know Love and today, hitting the top spot of the UK album charts. This makes Olly the first X Factor solo artist to achieve four number 1 albums, making him the most successful solo artist ever to come from the show.

Olly says, “I am so excited and happy to have 24 HRS go in at number 1. It’s the most personal album I’ve ever made, and I’m really proud of it. It’s amazing to have had four number 1 albums in a row, so thanks to my fans for continuing to support me!”

Olly has now recorded four multi-platinum albums and produced four number 1 singles. He has sold in excess of 10 million records.

His new single Years and Years follows the radio favourites You Don’t Know Love and Grow Up, which Olly recently performed on The X Factor.

2017 will see Olly play 23 UK shows including three at London’s O2, in what will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of the year confirming his reputation as one of Britain’s very best live performers.
