One Direction voted Best Celebrity Website at 2016 Webby Awards

One Direction’s Made In The A.M. website has been voted Best Celebrity Website at the 2016 Webby Awards.

The site – which was built in partnership with Google using their Street View technology – turned One Direction’s studio space into a virtual room featuring new content to be discovered each day, in the run-up to the launch of their album Made In The A.M.

Fans could move around the 360° experience and explore the room to find hidden content including exclusive teasers of unreleased songs, previously unseen photos, interviews and handwritten notes from the boys.

One Direction’s Made In The A.M. website triumphed in the Best Celebrity Website category against the likes of U2, Zoella, Neymar and Kendall Jenner.
