Negla Abdela Makes INvolve’s 2023 Empower 100 Future Leaders Role Model List

We’re very pleased to announce that Negla Abdela, General Manager at Ministry of Sound, has made INvolve’s 2023 Empower 100 Future Leaders Role Model List – which showcases leaders who are breaking down barriers at work for ethnic minority employees.

All the executives were nominated by peers and colleagues and reviewed by Empower’s judging panel. Created by INvolve and supported by YouTube, the global list celebrates 100 people who are leading by example and driving the charge for inclusion.

Negla serves as the management sponsor for the internal race and ethnicity group HUE (Helping Unite Everyone), ensuring that the group’s mission aligns with company goals for people of colour. She also sits on the Steering Committee for the Sony Music UK Social Justice Fund, which was created to address racial injustice.

A member of Black Lives in Music – an organisation that addresses the current inequality of opportunity for Black, Asian, and Ethnically Diverse people in the music industry – Negla is also an ambassador for the OnSide Youth Zone charity, which provides inspirational venues for marginalised young people in London to develop skills in music. In addition, Negla is an active mentor supporting organisations such as Sony’s internal PushFar programme, The Cat’s Mother, Cre8ing Vision, and Creative Mentor Network.
