Sony Music artists nominated at the 2020 Ivor Novello Awards

Nominees for the 2020 Ivor Novellos have been announced, with several Sony Music artists in the running for the prestigious songwriting awards.

Recognised as a pinnacle of achievement since they were first presented in 1956, Ivor Novello Awards represent peer recognition with categories judged by those within the UK music creator community.

J Hus and JAE5 are nominated for Best Contemporary Song with ‘Must Be’, from the No.1 album Big Conspiracy.

In the PRS for Music Most Performed Work category, Calvin Harris and Rag’n’Bone Man are shortlisted with their 2x Platinum hit ‘Giant’ alongside co-writers Jamie Hartman and Troy Miller.

Labrinth is up for Best Television Soundtrack for his original score from the cult HBO series Euphoria, while Martin Phipps’ score to The Crown (Season 3) has also been shortlisted. In the Best Original Film Score category Bobby Krlic has been nominated for his score to Midsommar, alongside Nainita Desai who has been shortlisted for her score to For Sama. All four soundtracks were released via Masterworks.

The winners will be announced on Apple Music’s Beats 1 Radio from 11am BST on Wednesday September 2nd.
