Sony Music artists star in SKODA’s new ‘I Gotta Be Me’ campaign

Sony Music UK’s 4th Floor Creative Brand Partnership team has worked with ŠKODA to bring together five artists from very different musical backgrounds – Paloma Faith, The Kingdom Choir, Lady Leshurr, Alexis Ffrench and The Sherlocks – for the car manufacturer’s latest advert.

As an evolution of ŠKODA’s 2018 campaign, Paloma Faith has been joined by The Kingdom Choir, Lady Leshurr, Alexis Ffrench and The Sherlocks. The advert celebrates the individual style of each artist and sees Sammy Davis Jnr’s song, ‘I’ve Gotta Be Me’, brought to life through their own voice.

The advert was directed by acclaimed music video director Henry Scholfield, who has recently worked with Dua Lipa, Wiley, Sean Paul and Idris Elba. It premiered on Saturday 20th April during the new series of ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent, and is running as part of an integrated digital, media, PR and social campaign.

Speaking about the new advert, Paloma Faith said, “it’s been empowering to join forces with incredible artists who are all forging their own paths within the industry. To capture the essence of what makes each of us who we are today in one video is no mean feat, but I think ŠKODA has done a fantastic job. The lyrics of the song are all about embracing your own personality and that’s what resonated with me when creating my version.”

Each of the artists’ renditions of the track are available to listen to here.
