Sony Music artists win at The Grammy Awards 2019

The 61st Grammy Awards took place last night at the Staples Center in Los Angeles with Sony Music artists securing several wins.

One of the biggest winners of the night was Childish Gambino who made history by winning both Record of the Year and Song of the Year for ‘This is America’, a first for a hip hop act. He also took home additional awards for Best Rap/Sung Performance and Best Music Video.

H.E.R. also had a successful night picking up two awards for Best R&B Album and Best R&B Performance. The RCA Records-signed artist also delivered a stunning performance of ‘Hard Place’ at the awards.

Other winners on the night included Silk City, the production duo comprised of Mark Ronson and Diplo. Their song ‘Electricity’ featuring Dua Lipa picked up Best Dance Recording.

Pharrell Williams won his 12th Grammy Award for Producer of the Year, Non-Classical with The Carters (Beyoncé and Jay-Z) picking up the award for Best Urban Contemporary Album.

Best Traditional Blues Album — The Blues is Alive and Well, Buddy Guy
