Flock Together began life as a birdwatching collective, but quickly grew as an organisation working to address the underrepresentation of people of colour in the outdoors. The brainchild of Ollie Olanipekun and Nadeem Perera, Flock Together aims to build community, challenge perceptions, show the benefits of nature, champion ecological protection, offer mental health support, and provide creative mentorship for the next generation. 

IMPACT AT A GLANCE

Sony Music UK’s Social Justice Fund financed an academy programme that aimed to inspire the next generation of young birders and future conservationists to look up and around. The Academy provided school-age children with a safe place to discover birding, nature and ecology.
