Mind is one of Britain’s leading mental health charities, which provides advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. The charity campaigns to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding. 

Impact at a glance

Sony Music UK’s Social Justice Fund supported Mind on their Young People and Racial Trauma project that sought to develop a blueprint for a new mental health intervention that is tailored to the need of young people from racialised communities whose mental health has worsened because of the impact of racism.

Mind, in collaboration with Partisan, a Black-led Community Interest Company made up of Psychotherapists and Clinical Psychologists, worked with young people to research the most effective intervention through workshops and a test-and-learn-model. A Sound of Mind Hub idea was developed, offering holistic mental health services with young Black people at its centre.
